Savings, versatility and easy management
Not only a source of savings, but also versatile due to the types of fuels used and ease of management. These are the key features that distinguish the mini co-generation system installed by Uniconfort, as general contractor, in collaboration with Termogen, Pisa, in the facility located in Santa Croce sull’Arno (PI) belonging to Dermochimica di Agrate Brianza (MB), company that manufactures chemicals for leather tanning. A plant purposefully devised for companies that have limited heat and energy output needs but which, however, are very interested in reducing their energy bill and make a green choice.
THE MOST IMPORTANT BENEFIT: REDUCE ENERGY AND HEAT COSTS...
The boiler installed, that uses the ORC technology for co-generation of thermal and electrical energy, is the model Global and is able to generate simultaneously 700 kW of heat needed to warm up the water between 55 and 80°C, and 165 kW of electrical energy. The heat is used to heat the rooms, while electrical energy is sold to the network.
...AND ALSO THANKS TO ITS VERSATILITY
Global is the only model on the market able to use chips with high moisture content (up to 55-60%) that are easier to find on the market and at lower prices. In this way, it’s no longer necessary to make use of high quality chips and this translates into savings for the company.
A BOILER EASY TO MANAGE...
Like any regular thermal power plant, the plant is particularly compact and, thanks to its reduced dimensions, it can be easily integrated into the facility. Moreover, it’s operation does not require any particular skills.
...AND FORTHE AUTHORIZATION PROCEDURE
With this new technology, Uniconfort joins the market of plants under MW of input power which are particularly subsidized by Feed-In Scheme, without the burden of complex authorization procedures.
- Global boiler input power: ≤ 1 MW
- Gross electrical power: 165 kW
- Residual heat: 700 Kw / 55°-80° C
- Wood chips moisture content: 55-60 %
